An eyewitness account came as a twist to the controversial servitude case in which the police driver Gavaskar had been beaten up by ADGP’s daughter. Vaishakan, a juice vendor near Kanakakunnu said to the police that he had seen ADGP and his wife getting into the vehicle after their morning walk, and after some time the vehicle stopped.

His account is synonymous with Gavaskar’s account of stopping the vehicle when he had been subjected to torturous abuse by ADGP’s daughter and the whole family. Vaishakan said that he heard sounds of the quarrel but didn’t see the girl beating the policeman. Although the time frame of the incident as known by Gavaskar’s account matches with that by the fruit vendor. The report is that Police are probing on the angle which directly accuses ADGP’s daughter.
The investigation on this case has been passed by Crime Branch chief Sheikh Darwesh Sahib to the Crime Branch SP Prasanthan Kani. In the order its written that the Crime Branch Sp can choose officials of his choice to aid the investigation.
