Cow vigilantes in Kottarakara in a great mess!

A twist to the incident of cow vigilantism in Kottarakara.Taking cognizance of the ‘Madhyamam’ report regarding the issue State Minorities Commission directed Kollam Rural Police chief to submit an emergency report regarding the issue.P.K.Haneefa, Chairman of the State Minorities Commission told that action would be taken after the tabling of the reports.

Meat merchant Jalaludheen, his driver Sabu and Jaleel were attacked by a team who chased them on their bikes. Jalaludheen and his workers had been transporting cattle to the Kottarakara market, when a gang of self-proclaimed cow vigilantes attacked them, reminding them about the lynching incidents in Uttar Pradesh.

An Army man Vishnu S. Pillai, and another guy named Gokul were remanded by the court on this case on Friday. A counter case was also registered against 7 people including Jalaludheen, Jaleel, and Sabu on the complaint of manhandling by the accused.
