The South Korean Football team did beat the Germans by 2-0, a great achievement in itself but couldn’t get themselves to the next stage. One would have expected the team to get a warm welcome at their home, but they were pelted with eggs and cushion as they posed for pictures.
The squad lined up for a photo at Incheon International Airport and most of the crowd seemed happy to see them. But then all of a sudden some disgruntled fans threw cushions at them, as they were not happy with the results the team made. watch video:

Manager Shin Tae Yong addressed the crowd and said: “I didn’t want to come home until July and it’s disappointing to be back home in June”. ‘I’d like to thank our fans for their love and support. Without our fans, we wouldn’t have been able to create the miracle that we did.’
Son Heung-min said: ‘Thank you to all of you who came today. ‘I am sorry to our fans that we didn’t live up to our promise of reaching the knockout stage but I think we all saw some hope from the win over Germany. ‘But we won’t get carried away with that bit of success, and we’ll continue to work hard.’
