Farmer puts up Kajal Aggarwal’s cut-out in his farm to keep crop safe

After a farmer from Andhra Pradesh put up pictures of Sunny Leone to keep away bad luck off his farm, another farmer from Telangana follows his path.

Anwar, 30, put up posters of his favourite actress Kajal Aggarwal in his two-acre farm where he cultivates vegetables. The farm is on the main road in Gollapalli village of Kondareddy block in Sangareddy district of Telangana, about 120 km from state capital, Hyderabad.

“I have put up two cutouts of Kajal in my farm a few days ago. Now, I can see the difference. Earlier, crops used to go dry, leaving me to loss after so much of investment of money and labour. Now, the crop is surviving,” said Anwar.

“As my farm is on the main road, every passerby would invariably look at it. People say bad sight is the reason for my consistent losses,” the farmer added, hoping he would reap in profit, when he takes the yield in August- September.

“Now, everybody would stare at Kajal’s picture and ignore the crop in my farm,” explained Anwar. Even those who crack jokes on his idea would obviously focus on the cutouts but not the crops, believes the farmer.

It was Anwar’s father who stumbled upon this idea. “My dad knows that I am a big fan of Kajal. So, he told me to put her pictures in the farm,” Anwar said.
