When it comes to people who are the better exponents of English language in India, Shashi Tharoor’s name cannot be missed. But even the best makes silly mistakes, as Shashi showed today with a silly typo when he wrote ‘lambs’ instead of ‘lakhs’. Shashi Tharoor, in his Twitter post, shared an article titled “Rs 35 lakh: Cost of PM Narendra Modi’s Yoga Videos and Photo Shoot, AYUSH Ministry spent Rs 20 crores on Ads for International Yoga Day” and said the government is all about smokes and mirrors. Check out his tweet.
20 crore rupees in ads for #YogaDay, 35 lambs for @PMOIndia‘s fitness video! Disgraceful. This government is all about smoke & mirrors. Hype is their substitute for hope — the hopes they have destroyed.https://t.co/vmYZINkRD2

As you can see, Tharoor was at his usual eloquent best, except that typing mistake, but then BJP leader and Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports RajVardhan Singh Rathore chose to reply his accusations with a little jibe at Tharoor’s typing error. He asserted that no money was spent on PM’s fitness video and that it was recorded by PMO Videographer. Check out his tweet.
Not surprised Mr @ShashiTharoor, falsehoods is ur substitute 4 facts
No money ws spent 4 PM’s fitness vid. It ws recorded by PMO videographer. This article is based on ‘solid proof’ of hearsay
And I assure you sir,not a single ‘lamb’ was sacrificed for the vid, let alone 35! ? https://t.co/xiC52ak7iw

Soon Tharoor hit back with another tweet, to which RajVardhan has not responded yet. Shashi Tharoor said people of India have been fleeced by Government’s 20 crore expenditure of taxpayer money on publicity as a substitute for achievement. Here is his tweet.
Delighted to hear no lambs were sacrificed. But the people of India have been fleeced nonetheless, by the Govt’s 20 crore expenditure of taxpayer money on publicity as a substitute for achievement. https://t.co/td20IfStLj

The ‘Fitness Challenge’ was started by Rathore on Twitter as part of the ‘Hum Fit Toh India Fit’ campaign on May 22. While taking up star cricketer Virat Kohli’s ‘Fitness Challenge’, the Prime Minister on June 13 shared a video of him performing yoga on Twitter.
