Blast at factory kills at least 10 workers; serious injuries reported

A massive blast took place in a factory where at least 10 workers were killed.

In Telangana, a firecracker manufacturing unit lost at least 10 of their employees while several others suffered serious burn injuries.

The incident took place at the Bhadrakali fireworks unit located in Kashibugga area of Warangal district on Wednesday morning.

The fire, followed by an explosion, completely demolished the manufacturing unit building, while several of the dead workers’ bodies were found hundreds of feet away from the unit.

While four fire engines rushed in to douse the fire, the injured have been shifted to the MGM Government Hospital.

The cause of the fire is yet not known, administration fear that casualties may rise further as the number of people working at the unit at the time of blast is also not known.
