A mysterious explosion in an open area belonging to defense public sector unit of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) sparked off panic in LB Shastri Nagar, southeast Bengaluru on Monday evening.
Police said the blast took place around 4.30pm at a garbage dump.
They suspect the explosion may have been triggered by the remains of gelatin sticks used to blast rocks a few months ago.
