After the brutal murder of SFI leader Abhimanyu at Maharajas College in Ernakulam, a statewide raid has been launched by the Kerala Police in SDPI offices and at homes of several of its workers. The raid has been going on for two days and has registered arrest of about 10 persons which include two state leaders.

The police had arrested 4 SDPI workers from Vandiperiyar for providing a hiding place for the culprits. In Alappuzha, the SDPI activists who attacked SFI workers had been arrested by the police. But the SDPI workers barged into police station premises and conducted a protest to release their workers.
The Police had said earlier that there was an involvement of the Campus Front activists in the brutal murder of Abhimanyu.O n the basis of this, they are conducting a
statewide raid in SDPI offices.
