The third song from Janhvi Kapoor’s new film Dhadak, titled Pehli Baar, has been released and of course, fans are loving it.
Dhadak is a Hindi remake of the popular (2016) Marathi film ‘Sairat‘, which was helmed by National award-winning director Nagraj Manjule. After a promising trailer, the title track and Zingaat, that got us crooning, now the makers have dropped the third number ‘Pehli Baar’, which is a recreation of ‘Yad Lagla’ that featured in ‘Sairat’.
Pehli Baar is a purely romantic track and features Janhvi and Ishaan’s passionate moments. Janhvi, certainly, looks delightful in her ethnic attire while Ishaan’s expressions are on point in the song that documents the feeling of first love.
Talking about it the director said, “‘Pehli Baar’ is different from the title track. ‘Pehli Baar’ is about that innocent first love and a young boy’s desire for a girl he can never have. Without any set choreography, it captures the moment when Ishaan meets Janhvi and gets attracted to her.”
Shashank further added, “Dhadak is melodious but intense because it speaks of eternal romance, whereas Pehli Baar is like that moment of sunshine you experience when you fall in love.”
Talking about the composers, the filmmaker said, “As Ajay-Atul had created the Sairat album, too, you can notice the synergy. All the songs are distinct but belong to the same musical family. They have a great sense of orchestra and yet, there’s a strong underlying melody.”
