Taking a dig at the Rahul Gandhi’s purported claim that Congress Party is Muslim Party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sought to know from him “if Muslim women are also included into his Muslim Congress Party or it is dominated by Musim males only.”
The Prime Minister advised the AICC President and Congress leaders to go and meet victims of Tripe Talaq before attending the forthcoming session of the Parliament to debate on the Bill. PM alleged that opposition have stalled the bill to increase woes of Muslim women in the country.
Inaugurating the 340-km-long crore Purvanchal Expressway, longest in the country, the Prime Minister on Saturday alleged that the Congress and other parties want social evils like Triple Talaq and Nikah Halala to continue in the country to let Muslim women continue to suffer despite ban by Islamic countries.

“Leaders of political parties who are coming together to dislodge me should go and meet victims of Halala and Triple Talaq before coming to Parliament to debate on the Bill stalled by them. Whatever impediment they put in, I assure Muslim women in the country to do my best to convince them and get it passed in the Parliament,” he said.
Modi took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi’s statement that Congress was Muslim Party. “I would like to know from the Naamdar (Rahul) if his Muslim Congress Party has Muslim males only or Muslim women also. They say something and act just the opposite. The Bill on Triple Talaq has exposed their stand on minorities,” ridiculed PM.
