It remains unclear at this stage whether Kerala Police and Government has succumbed to the pressure posed by SDPI’s harthal or not, but as far as we understand, the six arrested SDPI leaders have all been let off and hence SDPI has called off tomorrow’s harthal. But then the organisation is planning to observe tomorrow as a ‘Black Day’.

SDPI state general secretary P Abdul Hameed said in a press release that the hartal has been called off as the police have let off the SDPI leaders who were taken into custody and also by taking the rain havoc into consideration.
