In the decider of three-match series between India and England, India has posted a moderate score that will need a lot of support from its bowlers, especially the spinners to successfully defend it.

Shikhar Dhawan (44 off 49)was once again his fluent-self today but Rohit Sharma (2 off 18) struggled before perishing to a big shot at the deep. Dhawan was unfortunately run out and would ask himself how many of his good innings in the series were cut short due to misfortune.
Virat Kohli (71 off 72) steadied the ship for a while before getting consumed by a brilliant delivery from Adil Rashid. Hardik Pandya too got a good one from Mark Wood. Dinesh Karthik (21 off 22) was once again silky smooth in his short-lived innings. Suresh Raina fell for a catch at leg slip, a well-thought-out fielding position from English Captain. Amidst the fall of wickets around here, Dhoni stood firm and played a composed inning of 42 from 66, but it was more of a damage control and lacked the flair it required towards the end of the match. It was Shardul Thakur’s (21 off 13) lusty blows that helped India cross over the 250 mark.
A few moments from the match, especially the wicket of Virat Kohli, where the ball turned so much, will give Kohli the hope that his spinners will deliver for the team today.
