BJP leaders of Mandya have couriered bottles of gripe water and some plastic pacifiers to the ‘Weeping’ chief minister Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy after the tearful breakdown last week.
A group of local BJP leaders led by Mr Manjunath sent six bottles of gripe water and six plastic soothers symbolically to stop Mr Kumaraswamy from crying in public. The courier has been despatched to the chief minister’s office on the third floor of the Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru.
The news of Mr Kumaraswamy weeping publicly at his party function had hit national headlines.
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley tweeted on Mr Kumaraswamy’s outburst in public and pulled up Congress for its notorious record of pulling down non-Congress governments.
