Making their family proud, father and son graduate together, proving that there is no age bar for learning.
Hazim Farook Shaikh, who graduated in Commerce from Mumbai University, saw his elated father Mohammad Farook Shaikh graduating in the same year from the YB Chavan University in Maharashtra.
While Hazim Shaikh scored approximately 56%, his father Farook Shaikh scored approximately 49% marks in their recently-concluded university examinations.
Mohammad Farook Shaikh, who is a taxi driver by profession, decided to pursue further studies thinking that it would earn him respect in the society and provide him with better job opportunities.

Earlier, he used to work as a junior clerk.
However, owing to depleting financial conditions of his previous company, Farook Shaikh was forced to leave his job and drive a taxi for a living. The trigger to pursue further studies came when he realized that in spite of being educated in an English medium school, he was still driving a taxi.
Shaikh told the media, “There is no age to study. I am happy that I have done my graduation.”
His son said, “I’m happy. I used to solve his doubts, as I had regular classes and he could take classes only on weekends.”
Hazim’s mother was very optimistic and supportive of the decision of her son and husband graduating together.
She said she was pleased to see the duo helping each other.
