Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is Here. Screen Size and Battery Capacity Will Wow You. Read All About It Here

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 was teased on Weibo and also showcased in press renders by Lin Bin, the company founder. Today everything was officially unwrapped at an official event so we get to see the full picture.

Powering all this is a 5,500mAh battery, which Xiaomi has managed to cram into a 7mm-thick chassis. The company says it can be charged to 71 percent in one hour. Other specs include a 12-megapixel plus 5-megapixel dual-camera system, a Snapdragon 636 processor, up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

While the OS is Android 8.1, the phone arrives with MIUI 9.5 out of the box and plenty of AI features, including scene recognition, face unlock, better selfies and a voice assistant. It should get an MIUI 10 update soon and most likely even MIUI 11, given how Xiaomi takes care of its phones’ security.

The Mi Max 3 starts at 1,699 yuan (~$250) for a model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It’s available in blue, black, and gold, and goes on sale in China tomorrow. No word yet on India or elsewhere, though Xiaomi is set to announce the Android One-powered Mi A2 for global markets next week in Spain
