After achieving pinnacles in her career, including featuring on the TIME cover, being one of the few Indian faces at the Cannes Red Carpet and making her mark in Hollywood alongside the legendary Vin Diesel, Padmaavat actress Deepika Padukone is all set to get her own wax statue at the Madame Tussauds wax museums in London and Delhi.
In a Facebook live video from London, Deepika revealed that the only time she had visited the Madame Tussauds wax museum in London was as a child, with her parents. Many years later, getting a statue of her own at the famed museum made her “very, very excited”.

“That memory has stayed with me. And then to receive a letter and now to be a part of that, and to actually experience what goes into making these wax figures. I think Madame Tussauds is so iconic in so many ways. So, it’s really special,” she said in the video.
200 measurements of Deepika were taken in London by experts in order to get the nitty-gritty of her wax statue just right. The statue, which will be placed in the A-list category alongside stars like Angelina Jolie and Helen Mirren, will be unveiled in London next year.
