In yet another shocking incident, a 16-year-old girl was harassed and molested by three men including minors in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi. A person has been arrested in connection with the case after a video of the incident surfaced on social media. Speaking to ANI, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kuldeep Narain confirmed the incident and said that they have arrested one of the accused and are on a lookout for the other two.
“The police became active as soon as it saw the video, where a girl was taken to a secluded area on a bike. A case under Section 363 506,354 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) 7/8 has been registered in Chirgaon police station in Jhansi. The main accused has been taken into the custody,” Narain added.

If reports are to be believed, the incident took place on July 12 when the victim was offered a lift by a friend on a motorcycle. She was reportedly on her way to give food to her mother, who was working in a field. While passing through a deserted area, they were stopped by a group of men – including minors. In the video, the boys were seen dragging and molesting the victim while she was screaming for help. She can also be seen urging the molesters not to film the incident.
Earlier in April, a similar incident was reported from Bihar’s Jehanabad where a minor girl was molested by eight unidentified youth in broad daylight. The video of the incident was also uploaded by the victim’s perpetrators on the social media.
