Jhanvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan are currently enjoying the success of Dhadak. Recently, the stars were spotted at the success bash of the film. Dhadak which released on 20th July 2018 is doing great at the box office.
KJo set the ball rolling as he quipped about the box office success of the film, “We tried to give our own heartbeat to Sairat. Our box office has given us so much love.” He also added that ‘Dhadak’ pays homage to ‘Sairat’ and should be seen that way. Shashank was the next to talk about his project as he said that he is happy with all the attention the film has received, both positive and negative. He put across his feelings accurately in a single sentence as he said, “I am very happy with all the love. I am happy with all the hate.”
Janhvi Kapoor, who made her big debut with the film, had a lot riding on her and so her experience on the whole affair was perhaps the most intriguing. She said that her family particularly felt overwhelmed after watching the flick and that even many big artists were moved after seeing it. Overall, Janhvi summed it all up with this quote that will definitely elicit a chuckle as she said, “I have never been happier making someone else cry in my life.”
Ishaan also had a lot to say about the film, for which he expressed that he is truly grateful. “It was I think the most wonderful forty-four days of my working career. There was just so much love on set, there was so much love for these characters, for this story, for the context in which we are making the film. It was a great learning experience and I can’t trade that for anything else so I am just very grateful more than anything else.”
