The biggest news today for all Bollywood tabloids has been the walkout of Priyanka Chopra from Salman Khan’s Bharat. As fans were speculating what’s the reason for this, Ali Abbas Zafar, who is directing Bharat, himself spilt the beans in his latest tweet, which hints that there is a marriage in the anvil for Priyanka Chopra and her boyfriend, American singer-actor Nick Jonas. Ever since news portals have been pushing news about how she has got secretly engaged to Jonas and their wedding is fixed around October this year.
Ali Abbas Zafar had tweeted, “Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special, she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her … Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life”. While Zafar, who has earlier worked with Priyanka in Gunday might be happy with her walking out on the film at such a short notice, someone huge in the Bharat team is apparently not.
As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, an insider close to Salman Khan camp told the publication that Bhai is mighty pissed with PeeCee for walking out on the film, just when she was about to start shooting. The source further added that marriage is just an alibi to save face; the reason is something else. The publication quotes this insider saying,

“The director, who is a close friend of Priyanka, doesn’t want any ugly controversy about Priyanka’s exit. So he’s making it sound like an amicable parting, which it is not. Salman is hardly going to be pacified by the marriage alibi. Considering, it was she who wanted to be part of the project. And, now she’s had second thoughts because of marriage? Nonsense! If she was getting married, she’d have planned it for after shooting for Bharat. This is not small film and opting out of it more or less seals her plans for a Bollywood comeback.”
Considering how Salman Khan had welcomed Priyanka in Bharat with a grand announcement, we can understand why he might be annoyed with her decision to back out. Especially since she has already begun work on another Hindi film, The Sky is Pink, that stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim, where Priyanka is reportedly having a strong role.
