Hanan, the college girl who sold fish to keep her family going had become an overnight internet sensation. Following her popularity, a lot of counter theories and posts that defamed her had surfaced on social media. A man called Noorudheen Sheik claimed was in forefront of such counter moves as he said that the girl is a fake and that everything is being cooked up as a part of the film promotion.

Soon, everyone who knew stories of Hanan and her hardships, rallied behind her in support and even Chief Minister himself took personal care in the matter and asked to take legal action against everyone who had unleased their wrath on Hanan in cyber space. Noorudheen Sheik, obviously was expected to be arrested and he is and is now being interrogated by a team under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner.
Different Acts Including I.T Act 67, IPC 509, Kerala Police Act 120(O) are the relevant acts used against Noorudheen. Noorudheen had earlier allegedly blamed it all on another online media which coerced him to do the video. It was after Noorudhen’s video that more people rallied against Hanan.
