Priyanka Chopra has walked out of the Salman Khan starrer Bharat but also confirmed her relationship with American singer Nick Jonas and hinted that the duo might get married soon. After his tweet, People magazine revealed that the couple got engaged on Priyanka’s birthday. While all her fans are extremely excited about her wedding, the actress’ her friend Meghan Markle has also given her approval.
As per the reports in E!, a source has said that the Duchess of Sussex is very excited for the soon-to-be-married couple. “Everyone is very happy and they are definitely a great match,” the source further said.
The 36-year-old actress’ friendship with Meghan dates back to 2016 when the two met at the ELLE Women in Television dinner. Earlier in an interview with People magazine, Priyanka had said, “We bonded as actors. We just became friends, like two girls would.”
Priyanka and Nick made their first public appreance together at the 2017 Met Gala. After that, they were seen celebrating the Memorial Day together.
Not only this, Priyanka even went as Nick’s plus one to his family wedding and last month, he accompanied the actress to India where he was seen bonding with Priyanka’s family. Recently, before Priyanka came to India, the soon-to-be-married couple was seen on a double date with Nick’s elder brother Joe Jonas and his girlfriend Sophie Turner.
Earlier, People quoted a source as saying “He (Nick Jonas) is very very happy. His friends and family have never seen him like this, and they’re all really excited for him. He’s definitely very serious about her.
”It has also been reported that when Nick was selecting a ring for Priyanka, he had shut down Tiffany’s New York City.
