The first teaser of Vada Chennai is out. The makers have released it on the special occasion of actor Dhanush’s birthday, who plays the lead in the film. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Vetrimaaran, Vada Chennai is one of the most anticipated films of 2018. The narrative of the film spans three decades and depicts the actor in multiple makeovers suited to each time-frame. Watch it here:

The actor has a layered role and that is evident from the trailer itself. We see the innocent spark of a teenager and the weary vengeful side of a man who knows that survival is of the fittest in the badlands of North Chennai. Actress Aishwarya Rajesh and Andrea Jeremiah play the female leads in the film
The teaser makes an impact with the realistic depiction of the milieu and the tremendous background score. We can feel the tension and intensity in every frame. Dhanush seems to have put in another power-packed performance into this one. The raw appeal that won over Hindi audiences in Raanjhanaa is visible here too in the scenes where he is shown as a teen.
Directed by the National Award-winning filmmaker Vetri Maaran, it’s safe to say that ‘Vada Chennai’ is very likely to strike a chord with the audiences. Apart from the visuals, one of the major highlights of the teaser is Santhosh Narayanan’s background score.
