City police commissioner P Prakash stated that this was perhaps the biggest catch by the police team. ‘One of the costliest and dangerous drugs, Meth’s prolonged use would even lead to death. It could be either manufactured in a laboratory setup or imported. We have initiated steps to find out the source of the drug,” he said while addressing a news conference
A small amount of the drug is enough to make one addicted.
Among the accused, Nahas was involved in a few drug-related cases and he was even arrested and jailed in a Gulf country in the past. The possibility of the drug being imported through his foreign contacts would also be probed. Anilkumar, too, has cases related to ganja-peddling registered against him at several police stations in the city and rural limits.
