A college magazine has been denied permission to be released as authorities held firm that a 4 line poem in magazine hurts religious sentiments. The poem was written in a sarcastic tone about the priests who were accused in the rape case recently in Kerala. The incident happened in Wayanad Pulpally Pazhassiraja College in Kerala.

The poem speaks about how a priest became the father of a child and it is those lines that upset certain people. It was in last February that a priest named Robin Vadakkanjery allegedly impregnated a girl and the magazine editor accepts that the poem is based on this incident.
College principal A. O Roy said the poem hurts the religious sentiments of people. Magazine editor Shahul Hameed said the magazine discusses contemporary issues and that the stand taken by authorities is questioning the creative freedom of students.
