Aamir Khan Reveals Whether He is Planning to Attend Imran Khan’s Swearing-in Ceremony or Not. His Decision Might Surprise You

Earlier reports stated that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan promised Prime Minister in waiting Imran Khan that he will be visiting Pakistan if the latter won the 2018 General Elections. However, the Dangal star has refuted the claims in a recent interview with News 18. “No, I am not going to Pakistan and I haven’t got an invitation for Imran Khan’s swearing-in ceremony,” said Aamir.

He also added that in the event of him getting an invite, he is “too busy to go”.

” Among those reportedly invited, Navjot Singh Sidhu accepted the invitation on Wednesday, calling Imran a “man of character”. The oath-taking ceremony is scheduled to be held on 11 August, the announcement of which was made by Imran during an interaction with party members of provincial assembly in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Monday.

PTI had turned down reports of the party planning to invite international dignitaries, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for the ceremony. Party secretary Fawad Chaudhry took to Twitter and said, “Media speculations about international dignitaries attending PM oath ceremony are not correct. We have sought the advice of the Foreign Office on the matter and will decide accordingly.”

Earlier reports said the PTI wished to invite the heads of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) member states including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as China and Turkey. But the party rubbished the reports.

According to Dawn, members of the Pakistan Foreign Office said that calling foreign leaders to the oath-taking was “a sensitive matter” and all perspectives needed to be taken into consideration.
