India, after making the first day their own was expected to take the remaining one wicket of England quickly and start their innings. It took only two overs to do that, but Sam Curran didn’t make things easy for Indian batsmen.

Indian Openers did well to raise a 50 run partnership and just as talks of bat once and bat long was in the air, Sam Curran wrecked havoc for India. His first wicket came in the form of a referral and he followed it up with 2 more. K.L Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan tried to be flamboyant, an approach that seldom works when the ball moves around and paid the price for it. From 50 for no loss, India was reduced to 59 for 3.
