In Kerala, recently there have been a number of rape cases in which Christian priests happened to be the accused. But before this bad trend started here, there was the Kottiyoor rape case that really shook Kerala. But then, in an unbelievable twist, the girl has given a statement in favour of the priest.

The case was that a minor girl was raped by father Robin Vadakkanchery. The victim gave birth to a child on February 7th, 2017. On February 26, father Robin was arrested. Along with Robin, two doctors, administrator, former chairman of Wayanad Child Welfare, a sister in an orphanage, etc are the other culprits in the case.
Now the girl has said that the priest didn’t rape her and that they were engaged in sexual activities with her consent. In the DNA test, it was confirmed that Robin Vadakkanchery was indeed the biological father of the child the girl gave birth to. The girl said she wants to have a family with Robin. She also said she was not a minor when she had sex with Robin and her age on the certificate is incorrect. But the girl has refused to undergo any test to prove her age. The girl also said that the earlier statement she made against Robin was forced.
