Indian expat Vazhappallil Yohannan Simon won Dh10 million at the raffle draw held in Abu Dhabi International Airport on Friday morning.
As organisers called Simon to congratulate, he thought it to be a prank.
But as he was provided with details of ticket number (041614), Simon realised this is his lucky day.
“This is great. I am very happy. Since this is for real I am very happy,” Simon said.
He had purchased his ticket online.

Apart from a lone Syrian in the top 10 list, rest all winners are from India.
Other winners are: Anvar Aliyaru Kunju (Dh100,000, ticket: 130338), Kappu NS Bhatt (Dh90,000, ticket: 103821), Vishal Wadkar (Dh80,000, ticket: 080893), Taisir Nasr Sabih from Syria (Dh70,000, ticket: 005978), Biju Chiramel (Dh50,000, ticket: 056232), Showkoth Shariff (Dh30,000, ticket: 052044), Rakesh Mele Kalam (Dh20,000, ticket: 113243), Sreejith Sreeraman (Dh10,000, ticket: 059385) and Shaji Kunnannari (Dh10,000, ticket: 061280).
Also, Jayson Baloloy from the Philippines won a Landrover.
