After registering defeat at the hands of England cricket team in the first test match, England’s fans did not spare Indian players and mocked them when they were on their way back to the team hotel. Indian captain Virat Kohli led from the front as he scored almost half of the runs made by his side. However, it was not enough as England took a 1-0 lead in the series.

Charged by their team’s win, the English cricket fans- not the kindest of all- started chanting ‘where’s your Kohli now?’ as Team India was leaving on the bus. For context, this comes after Kohli’s ‘mic drop celebration’ post-dismissal of Joe Root in England’s first innings. It was in response to a similar gesture done by Root after England claimed the ODI series 2-1. A video has gone viral, showing the England cricket team fans mocking the team and singing, “Where is your Virat Kohli gone”. Watch it here:
As it turned out, Virat Kohli forced the same crowd to stand up and applaud him for his scintillating knock of 149 runs. In the second innings as well, the skipper led from the front and scored 51 runs. But his fellow mates disappointed him for the second time in as many innings. India faltered in the chase of 194 as a result and eventually were bowled out for 162 runs.
