Social activist Swami Agnivesh was assaulted on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg in New Delhi on Friday. He was reportedly on his way to pay tribute to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Swami Agnivesh, a nationally prominent 79-year-old social activist, was manhandled by some men outside the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters.

As per the reports, the incident took place on the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg (DDU) Marg when Agnivesh was on his way to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who breathed his last on Thursday evening.
The incident today comes a month after Agnivesh was allegedly assaulted by a mob of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists in Jharkhand’s Pakur.
