Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday announced a financial assistance of Rs 15 crores for flood affected Kerala.
Besides the financial assistance to be sent to the Kerala CM relief fund, Mr Yogi Adityanath also appealed to the non-governmental organizations to help people grappling with the devastating flood situation in the southern state.
The government will also send food and other relief materials to Kerala for the aid of flood affected people.

At least 324 people have already lost their lives in the state due to rain and floods in this monsoon season. The worst affected districts include Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Thrissur.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting in Kochi to review the flood situation in Kerala and also conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas. He also announced an urgent relief of Rs 500 crore for relief and rescue operations in the state.
