In his own witty style, he said he and 45 men survived by the food they had kept earmarked to be distributed to the relief camps. Salim was all set to leave the house, but then his neighbours took shelter in his home and he decided to stay back.
The national award winning actor also added that when the water level rose around his house, he had called for help but nobody came to save him. He said he waited for 4 days but eventually it was only the fishermen who came to his rescue.
