Bar Association Locks and Refuses to Give the Hall for Relief Camp.

Collector Orders to Smash the Lock

Thrissur, Kerala: The flood-hit state needs all the help it can gather from all sides to survive this calamity while Bar association in Thrissur allegedly set a bad example by refusing to open the Hall for keeping the food items and other goods needed in relief camps. District Collector

P.V Anupama, quite familiar to Malayalis by her bold steps, ordered the locks of the bar association to be smashed and access it for the purpose of keeping the goods required for Relief camps.

District Collector had repeatedly asked the bar association to allow them to access the hall but the requests were turned down by the authorities. The collector gave a notice in accordance with the Disaster Management act to the Bar association before ordering to smash the locks. Anupama kept rice and other commodities in there and locked the room with another lock.

Thrissur is one of the most affected districts by floods.
