Paytm owner Vijayshekhar Sarma is facing serious flaks for donating a very small amount to the distress relief fund in Kerala. In the last three days, Paytm gathered around 20 crores for flood relief programmes while Vijayshekhar Sarma, the billionaire himself who is the owner of Paytm cut a sorry figure by donating just 10000 Rs. Also, Mr. Vijaysekhar had the audacity to tweet the picture of his contribution which infuriated the Malayalis. While the picture snowballed into a bigger issue, he instantly withdrew it. This is the tweet he deleted.
Not just Malayalis but people across the globe reacted strongly against him. Check out some of the tweets.
Proportionately, I should have donated 2 paisa. Thank god I am not a billionaire.

At this critical point, Kerala needs the help of one and all we expect billionaires like him to contribute bigger amounts for Kerala.
