Advocate Jayasankar Mocks DYFI’s Claim of Saving Him From Floods

Advocate Jayasankar, despite his faith in the left philosophy and being a member of CPI, is very often a pain in the neck for CPI’s big brother-CPI(M). A man not known for mincing his words, his sharp, witty responses and sarcastic humour have put the ruling party (cpi(m)) in trouble in many news channel debates. Judging by the incidents of last few days, it seemed like at least some of the CPI(M) members have been looking for a chance to get back at him as they manipulated and fabricated a half chance. But once again, Jayasankar had the last laugh.

Jayasankars house is in Aluva, one of the most affected areas in the flood. DYFI, the youth organization of communist party had said that it was their workers who saved Jayasankar from floods and that he owed his life to them. But in the Newshour debate in Asianet channel, Jayasankar said that he had moved himself to safety before the flood developed into devastating proportions.

“My house in Aluva was fully submerged in water, but before that happened I was already in Ernakulam. Not even my feet got wet in the event.” Jayasankar said. When the anchor pointed out that even responsible left leaders have shared this news of DYFI’s bravery, he said not a single local leader from CPI(M) would say such things and that these claims are created by leaders sitting in Kannur.

The tussle between Jayasankar and CPI(M) would surely continue in the days to come.
