Kerala Floods: Ramesh Chennithala Demands a Judicial Enquiry on This

Kerala is only starting to stand on its own feet after the flood that wreaked havoc across the state, but political games have already started. Ramesh Chennithalas latest statement may not be a politically motivated one, but there is no doubt the kind of political reactions it will produce in the hours to come and this is a serious statement from the leader of opposition in Kerala.

Ramesh has said that all dams being opened together is one of the reasons for the enormity of the damage. He wanted a judicial inquiry on the same matter and added that the kind of precaution expected while opening the dams wasn’t taken. He also lamented the lack of coordination in the rescue job. Ramesh was voicing his opinion in the all-party meeting and also demanded setting up of committees in each area to take care of the relief jobs.

Ramesh chennithala added a number of other demands like waiving off farmers loans up to 5 lakhs, 5 lakhs for people to rebuild their home, postponing psc exams for at least 2 months and much more. In the days to come, his demands will be surely discussed.
