The CPM has decided to field a student leader in the upcoming general election from Assam. SFI Assam state committee vice president Biraj Deka will contest from the Kokrajar constituency in Assam.
The 26-year-old Deka is the youngest candidate contesting in the Lok Sabha election. Deka known as a good orator and writer holds a postgraduate degree from Bodoland university.
