MSK Prasad who is working as the chairman of India’s selection committee has said they won’t look at the IPL form of the players when they are selecting a team for the World Cup players on April 15.
Apart from this, the former Indian captian Sunil Gavaskar reckons that the selectors must look at the IPL performance for the world cup team selection.
Sunil Gavaskar asserts the name of KL Rahul to be enrolled for the NO4 spot. The ace player has hit 3 fifties and a hundred for the Kings XI Punjab and the veteran leader asserts that be could be an ace player in the World Cup matches too.

Gavaskar is impressed by the way K L Rahul has constructed his innings in 2019 IPL. The young player from Kings XI Punjab has scored 317 runs from 7 matches. This might be the same reason Gavaskar is asserting he is crucial for the NO4 spot.
Clearly, if Gavaskar had his way, his vote for the crucial no.4 batting slot behind Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli would go to KL Rahul.
