Government officials have been suspended for violating the Election Code Of Conduct. The accused have joined in a party rally conducted in Kollam district. The suspended officer Paulin George was a booth-level officer in Kollam Perayam Panjyath . The action was taken by the district collector, who is also the District Election Officer.
The procedure was based on a report submitted by the Electoral Registration Officer, Kollam Tahsildar.
