The Goan State Tourism Development Corporation chairman Dayananand Sopte has informed the media that the state government will soon finalize the authority for penalisign the people who are found drinking and littering on the beaches in the state.
As per the amended Registration of Tourist Trade Act passed in the state drinking and littering on beaches is probhibitted. And the offenders can get Rs.2000 penalty and impriosnment upto three years.
