A woman police officer at Kottiyam police station was found hanging on Saturday. The dead officer has been identified as Keralapuram native Vasantha Kumari.
Her body was found hanging from a tree in front of her hour at 6 am.
Vasantha, who was posted in the women’s cell, started was transferred to Kottiyam police station on July 8. Police have started inquest procedures.
