Former Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) leader Jagannath Mishra has passed away after suffering in a prolonged illness. Mishra passed away in Delhi at the age of 82.Jagannath Mishra was a three-time chief minister before the advent of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Bihar political scene.
Mishra was the tallest political leader of Bihar for the longest time before Lalu Prasad became the face of Bihar politics.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed grief on the death of Mishra. The government has declared a three-day state mourning in Bihar. The former CM will be cremated with state honours.
