For the first time in the history of Sri Lanka,two brothers holds the office of President and Prime Minister as Mahinda Rajapaksa,elder brother of the President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa,took oath for the Prime Ministers office on Sunday.
Gotabhaya on Wednesday had named Mahinda as the new PM after incumbent Ranil Wickremesinghe announced his resignation from the post following the election debacle and stepped down.
