London not to renew license for Uber Taxi raising security concerns

The London Transit Authority refused to renew the license for the ride company- Uber Taxi to operate in London. The authority expressed its concern over the security of the customers as it found thousands of rides were done by imposter drivers, who have no records of whereabouts.

Uber called the decision “extraordinary and wrong,” and has 21 days to file an appeal, which it said it would do. It can continue operating during the appeals process.
