The Southern Railway has announced a new train service from Mangalore to Kerala. This new train was announced by Southern Railway general manager John Thomas. The train will be running between Mangalore and Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu via Palakkad.
John Thomas has informed media that pit lanes needed for this service is available in Palakkad station. More train service in the Palakkad -Pollachi route is under consideration he said.
