Sriram Venkitaraman IAS who was under suspension following the controversial drunk driving accident that caused the death of journalist K M Basheer, has been reinstated into service. His new appointment will be in the health department. He will be in charge for COVID-19 preventive activities. The order related to it will be issued soon.
