According to report, Total number of novel coronavirus cases in India climbed to 1,58,333 on Thursday morning after a spike of more than 6,500 cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the Union Ministry of Health, as many as 19 Covid-19 patients died in last 24 hours, which took the death toll to 4,531.
As of Thursday morning, there are 86,110 active cases of coronavirus, while 67,691 patients have recovered or discharged from the hospitals. The total also includes a migrated case.
Maharashtra, the worst-affected state in India, has so far recorded 56,948 cases.
Tamil Nadu has recorded as many as 18,545 cases while Gujarat and Delhi have both breached the 15,000-mark of coronavirus cases.
Delhi’s Covid-19 case tally rose to 15,257 with 792 fresh cases getting detected — its highest single-day spike on Wednesday night. The death toll in Delhi stood at 303 on Thursday morning.
