Telangana : A coronavirus positive patient died after falling off a hospital bed in Telangana. The incident was reported at the district hospital of Karimnagar on Sunday.
A 70-year-old patient, who was suffering from Covid-19, reportedly slipped off the bed and died.
The deceased was a native of Venkataiahpalli in Gangadhara mandal. He was admitted to the hospital on July 22 and was put on oxygen support.
The patient was unable to breathe properly and was put on ventilator support. On Sunday, he slipped off the bed, which led to the oxygen supply getting disrupted. He died soon after.
It has been alleged by fellow patients at the hospital that while they informed the authorities at the hospital about the fall, the patient was not attended promptly and he died struggling for breath.
Meanwhile, a video of the old man lying on the floor and audio recordings of fellow patients complaining about hospital apathy have been doing the rounds on social media.
