A mild intensity earthquake had hit the state. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) has informed this.
Earthquake of magnitude 4.1 on the Richter scale hit West Bengal on Wednesday. The tremors were reported from Durgapur at 7:54 am.
There were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property, due to the earthquake.
