Tokyo: Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced that he was resigning from the post over health problems. The unexpected development will increase a fresh round of leadership contest in the world’s third-largest economy.
“I have decided to step down from the post of the prime minister,” Abe told a press conference.The Japanese leader informed that he was suffering from frequent ulcerative colitis that had led to his resignation in his first term in office as well.
